During this four-hour townie takeover, participants in their craziest costumes meander across all the bridges in Crested Butte to help raise funds to provide affordable lessons, state-of-the-art equipment, and highly trained instructors in many disciplines and disability adaptions. DONATE MICHAEL'S PAGE 2024 BRIDGES OF THE BUTTE PHOTOS MICHAEL'S RIDE PHOTOS Michael Blunck's Special Ride For this year's 20th annual Bridges of the Butte, Michael Blunck will be attempting a remarkable feat of riding his bike, the Dragon Wagon, from Craig Hospital to the Bridges of the Butte base camp on Elk Avenue just in time for the Townie Tour. Michael has raised generous amounts over the years during Bridges of the Butte and we are so grateful for his tremendous support. This year, his goal is to raise $100,000 during his historic ride. Schedule of Events SCHEDULE OF EVENTS 9 am - Noon: Registration, t-shirt and hat sales, browse the Farmers Market before the start of the Townie Takeover Noon - 4 pm: Townie Takeover and free basecamp fun, including bike decorating with Trailhead Children's Museum and repairs from Mountain Mobile Bike Repair 1 pm: Michael Blunck arrives at basecamp and a celebration for the completion of his 235-mile ride, cheer him on as he rides up Elk Ave, or meet him at basecamp 3:50 pm: Last lap to celebrate the day, meet at base camp to ride altogether as a group 4 - 6 pm: Awards ceremony with food from Tully's, beverages, Irwin beer, music, and awesome prizes!
